Vibby Oak, from Telecom Design, is an automatic fall detector worn as a bracelet or a pendant, and Telecom Design describe it as the first wrist and neck-worn automatic fall detector to reach the market, with more than two million people protected across Europe. It detects a heavy fall on its own, and a central button sends a call for help at any time. The battery runs up to three years, so it stays on through months of ordinary life. Curated into Care Daily's Ambient Operating System, a Vibby alert arrives with the context of the whole home around it.

A sudden loss of balance, a powerful impact with the floor, and a person who stays down. Tremors are accounted for, so they still count as a fall.
Thirty seconds of warning, on the wrist
It flashes and vibrates for thirty seconds to say an alarm is coming. Nothing has been sent yet.
She can stop it, two ways
A palm laid over the face for two seconds cancels it, and standing back up cancels it on its own, read by a pressure sensor that measures a real change in height. If neither happens, the alarm goes to the hub and on to the call center.
