Daily Insights

The whole day, not just the morning.

Daily Insights reads activities of daily living across the entire living space. Sleep, mobility, bathroom patterns, kitchen activity, occupancy, visitors and the abnormal inactivity that usually precedes a bad week. Scored per resident, per aspect, against their own history.

Not one number

A single wellness score hides the thing you need to act on.

Roll a person up into one figure and it moves slowly, means little, and tells a nurse nothing about what to do. A resident whose sleep is deteriorating while their mobility holds steady needs a different conversation from one whose engagement has collapsed but who is sleeping fine. So we score the aspects separately and show which ones are moving.

Each score is calculated against that resident's own established baseline rather than a population average, which is what makes a downward move meaningful rather than merely a comparison to somebody else's normal.

Across the whole living space

What each room contributes.

Daily Check-in answers a question about the bed. Daily Insights reads the rest of the residence, because the useful signal is rarely in one place.

Bedroom

Sleep and the night

Bedtime, wake time, restlessness, how broken the night was, and whether any of it is drifting from this resident's own pattern.

the earliest place decline shows up
Whole residence

Mobility

How much someone moves, how far around their own home they go, and whether their indoor map has been shrinking without anyone noticing.

a shrinking map precedes a fall
Bathroom

Bathroom patterns

Frequency, duration and timing, day and night. A rising night count is one of the most useful early signals in the whole system.

often the first sign of a UTI
Kitchen

Nutrition and routine

Kitchen activity as a proxy for whether someone is eating, and whether meals are still happening at their usual times.

skipped meals compound fast
Front door

Occupancy and absence

Whether someone is home, when they left, when they came back, and whether they are going out less than they used to.

leaving less is a wellbeing signal
Living space

Visitors and engagement

Whether other people are coming, and whether this resident is still turning up to the things they signed up for.

isolation is measurable

No cameras and no microphones anywhere in that list. What is measured is pattern: presence, movement, timing and duration. Wearables are optional, and a resident who already wears one contributes more.

The signal that matters most

Abnormal inactivity is the one nobody catches.

Alarms are built for events. Most decline is the absence of events: the walk that stopped happening, the kitchen that went quiet, the two hours in a chair that used to be twenty minutes. Nothing triggers, so nothing is reported, and the first anyone knows is when somebody falls.

What an event-based system sees

Nothing. No alarm fired, no button was pressed, no threshold was crossed. From its point of view the week was uneventful, which it reports as good news.

What Daily Insights sees

Mobility down eleven percent over three weeks, kitchen activity down a third, one fewer outing per week, and time seated in one place up by half. Nothing alarming happened. Something is clearly happening.

That gap is the entire argument for reading daily living rather than waiting for incidents.

What your team does with it

A short list, and the reason attached.

Daily

Who moved, and in which direction

A ranked view of the residents whose scores changed, so a wellness team starts the day with six names rather than a hundred and forty.

Weekly

Trends worth a conversation

Drift that is too slow to alarm on but too consistent to ignore, surfaced while it is still a nudge rather than an intervention.

Always

Context before the visit

Plain-language summaries so whoever knocks on the door already knows what changed and when, instead of asking a resident to explain their own week.

Where it sits.

Daily Insights builds on Daily Check-in, on the same sensors and the same data. Add Daily Protect for real-time fall detection and response, or Daily Longevity to unite the whole campus and score against each resident's own stated intentions. Moving up is a configuration change, not a new deployment.
