What Able Assess measures
A clinical-grade five-minute fall risk assessment
that anyone can do.
No clinical certification, and about fifteen minutes of training to run it. The app walks whoever is holding it through each test in order, scores every result against age and sex matched normative data, and returns low, intermediate or high risk on the spot. Objective and repeatable, rather than a judgement call made in a corridor.
How it runs
Two steps, one belt pack.
The same sensor does all four tests. Squeeze it for grip, then clip it into the pack for everything that involves walking.
Step one
Grip strength, seated
The participant squeezes the sensor. Grip strength is an independent predictor of falls, frailty and mortality, and it is the one measure you can take without anybody standing up.
Step two
Everything else, on their feet
The sensor goes into the belt pack and the same person walks four meters, stands and sits for thirty seconds, and completes a Timed Up and Go. The sensor times and scores all three; nobody is holding a stopwatch.
What comes out of it
A score, a referral and a trend line.
The screening is the beginning of the workflow, not the end of it.

Normative data
Every result is stratified against age banded norms rather than compared to the last person screened, which is what makes a score portable between staff and between sites.

How the integration works
Assessment results flow into the ambient operating system.
Able Assess connects to Care Daily through the Able Platform's webhook integration. Each completed screening lands in the resident's Care Daily profile, where the clinical baseline is fused with continuous ambient signals. The AI Ambient Assistants then reason over both, and route insight to care staff, families, and providers when it matters.
Able Assess is a registered product of Able Care. Assessment methodology, validation, and normative data are provided by Able Care. Care Daily integrates and contextualizes these results and does not itself perform clinical diagnosis.
